This project was developed by Stamen Design (project description).

This site takes a model of ecosystem interactions and turns it into an interactive tool/visualization. It is designed to be used by research scientists, land managers, students and teachers.

The model, developed by ecologists at MPG Ranch, describes how changes in the population of one species will effect all other species in the ecosystem.

The website is designed to be accessible and understandable to middle school students, while also having the depth to be a scientific modeling tool for research scientists.

AREAS OF INTEREST

My current area of interests is developing well designed data visualizations that are unique, informative, useful and engaging. Additionally I’m focused on combining data visualization and generative art practices to create generative art/visualizations, and then useing various production methods to make physical representations of the generated works.
